Thank God!

Everyone can stop worrying, Currie is headed back to Duke. What, you haven't heard of Currie, don't know who I'm talking about? That's because Monique Currie is an All-American guard on the women's basketball team. Now, not to put down women's sports, but is this something which is actually happening? Are women players leaving school early for the riches of the WNBA?

I have never watched a WNBA game and I don't plan to at any time, but there are some people who do watch these games. I'm not ripping on any of them or any of the players in the league, but is it really news when a player announces she is going back to school instead of jumping to the WNBA? Does anyone care? This is like me saying that I'm coming back to the site for a few more years instead of writing for the West Bend Daily News. Give me a break.

Is it time for Yankee fans to start worrying about Mo? I am one, and I am worried. He used to be the hammer of god, now he has blown 4 straight saves (including the playoffs), this isn't good. I know it's only the first week of the season, but two blown saves in a row is not good.

Well, the Brewers are on pace to go 162-0 and score 1539 runs this season. Again, I know it's only the first week of the season, but get in line for your playoff tickets now!

I'm Back

That's right, I'm back, baby! I really haven't been anywhere else, but it seems like I have been on a different planet recently because I haven't posted in a while. Well, that's all over. I have settled in to the job and have time to devot to the site more often. You can expect to see something from me everyday, but what you will get is short posts. Just the meat, no filler. For example, I haven't given you my NL East or Central picks yet.

If any of you want elaboration on my picks, post a comment.

The only thing I want to say about the National Title game is, did anybody think UNC wasn't going to win, even when it was tied at 70? I didn't think (even though the game ended up being a 5 point victory) the game lived up to the expectation, at least not for me. Am I the only one?

Gaddis, here are the odds on the West Wing Presidential election from "Filzen Sports Chair", the exclusive betting arena in my basement:
