The Vols Have Found Their Pearl

Well UWM fans, your leader is gone. Bruce Pearl has done what many expected him to do and accepted the head coaching position at Tennessee. This of course comes on the heels of Pearl leading the Panthers to the Sweet 16. I am not going to pretend like I am the biggest UWM fan ever, or that I have been a fan for years. I cheer for UWM when they are in the tournament, or when they are on tv, and didn't care about the team at all until their first tournament berth in 2003. However, I am still saddened by Pearl's departure. Just when UWM was becoming probably the second best team in the state, the architect of it all is gone. I can't blame Pearl for leaving for greener pastures, and I wish him the best of luck in the future. Hopefully he can bring the Volunteer Men's program close to the level of the Women's team, he deserves it. On a related note, Jimmy Collins is unhappy because he will have one more hand to shake.
