The Keg
Another short one today as I try and take time from my hot dogs to write.
Put simply, the crowd last night was better than the first night of the series, Ben Sheets was awesome, and the Yankees offense was annemic. The Brewer offense wasn't exactly stellar, but they again got the hits they needed to. Again, the Yankees couldn't capitalize with the bases loaded and have now gone hitless in (I believe) their last 24 at-bats will the bags full.
I don't know what is wrong with the Yankees, not only is the mystique gone, but the heart and fire the teams of the late '90's is gone too. Apparently a desire to win is something money can't buy.
For those of you who don't know the score, the Crew pulled it out 2-1 as Derek Jeter made the final out again to the delight of the 35,000+ in attendance. The Brewers were up 2-0 going into the 9th but a walk and a single got runners on first and second, but Jeter left one of them on third with a chance to tie the game.
It was an outstanding finish to a great game. Even though I would like to see the Yankees win, this has been a great series for the Brewers and the fans in this state.
Season record at The Keg: 4-1
Fights in the stands: 1
Weiner race winner: Bratwurst
Next game: Tonight vs. Yankees (Capuano/ Mussina)
-Until next time...
