The Keg

Well, I went to The Keg again last Friday and sat in the best seats I have ever sat in and actually saw another Brewer victory. The Brewers were playing the Astros and my cousin graciously invited me along with his extra ticket.

We walked into the stadium and went up to the 300 club before the game to have a drink. After sippin on our beer for about 15 minutes, we moved down to our seats just after the national anthem and ceremonial first pitch by a middle schooler. Our seats were 4 rows behind the Brewers dugout on the first base side and we were sitting right behind the kid who threw out the first pitch.

The game itself was quite good. Both Doug Davis and Roy Oswalt were on their games, especially after the first inning. Between the first and sixth innings, I think there were only about 3 combined hits, if that, both pitchers got into a grove, so it's a good thing the Crew had the lead headed into the late innings.

A costly mis play in the outfield allowed 2 runs to score for the Brewers in the bottom of the 8th and Derrick Turnbow (D-Bow) pitched a perfect ninth inning for the save and 3-0 victory. He even reached back and threw a pitch which registered 105 mph on the home gun. I don't really believe he threw the ball 105 mph, but it was definitely triple digits.

Season record at the keg: 2-1
Weiner race winner: Italian
Next game: June 6- vs. Yankees

-Until next time...

The Brewers played a great game, not making any errors, getting clutch hitting, and pitching during the entire game. Although since then they are on a 4 game losing streak, they looked good that night.

Filzen, you still got an extra buckethead ticket for the Yankee's game? Let me know, because I'm in if you do and I'm pretty sure if you have a few extra's JG and my buddy are in too.
