Questions to start the week

1. When you have the best cornerback in the league playing one side of the ball, you may want to double team the guy on the other side, especially when his name is Reggie Wayne.

2. Why does Tim McCarver still have a job?

3. How lucky is it for Wisconsin that they didn’t have to play Ohio State this year. They should go into a bowl game 10-2, since Iowa has owned them, and will still be fairly highly rated.

4. Which free agent do you think will be the most overpaid this off season: Barry Zito, Jason Schmidt, Carlos Lee, or Alfonso Soriano?

5. Why are the Cubs even entertaining the idea of signing Carlos Lee or trading for Gary Sheffield?

6. When will the Colts lose: Week 9 @ New England, week 14 @ Jacksonville, week 15 vs. Cincy, or does it not matter because they can’t stop the run and won’t win in the playoffs anyway?

7. Does anyone out there besides Hucklebuck care about the NBA, I mean at all?

8. Why do playoff baseball games take 3 ½ hours when there aren’t even that many runs scored?

9. Does anyone know why the gallery isn’t showing up on my Tiger Woods 2007 game for PS2? That is one of the main reasons I bought the game, but there is no gallery.

10. Is there anything worse than cheering for a team that has no chance of making the playoffs and by winning all they are doing is getting a lower draft pick?

11. Who believes Shawn Merriman? I thought the best thing said about his situation was done by Chris Collinsworth on “Inside the NFL” this week. When asked if he believed Merriman he responded, “Yeah I believe Shawn Merriman, I also believe in the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and Political Integrity”. Good times.

12. When voting on Hall of Famers in any sport, is it really that big of a statement to not vote someone in on their first ballot? As long as they make it in, isn’t that the goal?

13. How long do you think the Mario Williams/Reggie Bush/Vince Young/Matt Leinart debate is going to last? I am going to say until one of them is on a Super Bowl winning team, or 2014, when they are all in the “prime” of their careers, and then it will only be intensified.

14. We need to check with Bill Simmons on this, but does the “Ewing Theory” apply with coaches as well?

15. Now that more and more college coaches are getting on board with the idea of a playoff and it comes up in almost every game between the announcers and every preview show, how far away are we from even an 8 team playoff?

-Until next time…
